Bike Garage Workshop #Brake Pistons

In homage to Park Tools and their feature Tech Tuesdays we are going to bring you a series of short videos. With a number of hopefully helpful pointers. They are not designed to be used as a step by step guide but instead little techniques to help you with general maintenance tasks.

Keeping your pistons pushing evenly is very important factor in brake pad wear, the efficiency of your brakes and how that feels on your lever. All hydraulic brakes should have pistons that push evenly. Pushing the pads evenly and making a nice synchronised contact with the rotor. Having the brake caliper aligned in the center is key.

Hopefully you find the video useful and feel free to reach out for more info!
