This Chromag Lowdown has just arrived from Canada and has been added to our hire/demo fleet.

This full-suspension bike differs from many, with a Steel front triangle, slack head tube angle (63.5°) and steeper seat tube angle (79°). With a 200mm dropper for maximum clearance during descending. With 29-inch wheels 170mm front travel and 158mm rear travel it is a super capable bike.

As a previous long-term Chromag frame owner (hardtail) I am excited to get out on the trails and test it further, and we think you might also too!

We have had a busy week preparing our first batch of Ex-Rental hardtail bikes. With the help of many cups of tea, I have thoroughly serviced each bike, replacing the drivetrains, bleeding the brakes, and replacing the pads. I have also switched out the tyres, and fresh sealant, installed new bottom brackets and replaced the cables and outers. In addition, I have serviced the hubs and headsets. The bike has taken me a full day to get ready.
 
If you are looking for a hardtail bike, we offer them for £450 each, which we believe is an excellent deal. We have sizes available from Medium to XL, in Trek Marlins & X-Calibers and we can provide you with a detailed breakdown of all the repairs and replacements we have made before you purchase.

What is available?

We have Trek Marlin 8 available in a size Large, as seen in the video below.

And Trek X-Caliber 7 (pictured) available in size Medium & Medium Large.

Each bike is prepared for sale once we have a potential buyer this means we can tweak the specification to meet your requirements. As standard we replace the tyres like for like with the upgraded Hutchinson or Goodyear rubber. But could if something less aggressive or commuter friendly.

Worth noting the bikes have rack mounts so could be used as a excellent bike packing frame.  Something we have done before.

Why do we sell the bikes after only a year?

The bikes are maintained through the year we have them, getting a wash between every use and a check over. So we really do not need to sell them only after one season but we do this so we have the newest models available.

 
What do I need if I want one?

As each bike is prepaired to order, simply give me a call or come by the shop. If you have any questions regarding sizing then let us know if you want to come to down and sit on a bike for size then that isn’t a problem. Or if you like even take it on a test ride
